Mission Statement /Description: We feel very strongly that Prolog is an essential part of a campus brimming with creativity.
Submissions have spiked over the last few issues, and we feel that accurately reflects the growing campus-wide enthusiasm in the production of art and literature. Submissions are open to all students currently enrolled at Franklin & Marshall College.
The growing number of new creative writing majors, art classes and majors, is definitely indicative of what we like to call the revival of the arts. But that is not all. There has also been a growth in attendance at poetry and fiction readings, and the art museum. In other words, the growing enthusiasm is two-fold - both the production and consumption levels of art and literature seem to be increasing.
At Prolog, we feel that we are a publication that quenches this growing creative thirst. For those looking to pursue art and writing in the future, we feel that we are an effective springboard, and an easy way to get their work out to the campus, community, and alumni. Apart from the seasoned writers and artists on campus, we also publish many first-timers, and also like to think that we are read by a range of discerning experts to first-time enthusiasts alike. In short, we look to capture and showcase the best of F&M's art and literature.
